<p>The Environmental Health and Safety Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring our facilities are in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and our employees as working in a safe and healthy environment. Compliance is ensured through inspections, monitoring, recordkeeping and training with a primary focus on occupational safety of employees and environmental health and safety and a secondary focus on the Environment of Care (EC) and Life Safety (LS).</p> <p>Minimum Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Work Experience</p> <ul> <li>3 years experience in environmental health & safety, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, construction safety, and/or hazardous waste management. </li><li>Healthcare experience desired. </li></ul> <p>Required Licenses/Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferred. </li><li>OSHA 10 certification (OSHA 30 preferred) </li></ul> <p>Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and other regulatory requirements. </li><li>Field experience in physical plant functions and application of work area hazard assessments/job hazard analyses processes. </li><li>Ability to work independently and contribute within a collaborative team. </li><li>Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement. </li><li>Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and email. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $64,000 - $97,500</p>
