<p>Overview This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. This role will be located in Raleigh or Charlotte, NC, preferred location is Raleigh, NC. The Senior Business Planning & Support Consultant is responsible for the support and ongoing improvement of the General Bank's business strategy and business plans. Conducts analysis, evaluates current practices, and offers guidance to business units to maximize results. Provides recommendations regarding best practices and methodologies. Works directly with leadership, team leaders, internal business partners and stakeholders to implement business processes and initiatives that will enable the business unit to increase and enhance production, while satisfying financial, regulatory, and compliance reporting requirements. Leads special projects, mentors associate team, oversees resource and financial management, and handles the most complex issues in support of daily workflow. Responsibilities Business Strategy - Supports current plans, processes, and requirements that identify factors negatively affecting the business unit. Aids in the development of strategies and solutions to address identified issues, coordinating business efforts to achieve success. Provides support in creating internal communications. Team Leadership - Leads special projects, serving as a resource to wider business unit or organization. Utilizes expertise to provide guidance, feedback, and direction on complex matters. Assists in the communication of performance results and expected behaviors. Reporting - Produces reports based on analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities. Identifies patterns, problems, and areas of improvement, and tracks effectiveness of implemented enhancements. Creates specifications, project plans, and other documentation in support of business initiatives. May review or verify reports of team. Data Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Performs complex data analysis, effectively communicating and directing analysis output. Understands and inteprets data applicable to business strategy and business planning. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Business Strategy, Business Planning, and Financial Services industry OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Business Strategy, Business Planning, and Financial Services industry Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Degree Experience in business planning and business strategy for a Large Financial Institution Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills Builds relationships and collaborates well with others Able take feedback quickly and effectively Benefits are an integral part of total rewards and First Citizens Bank is committed to providing a competitive, thoughtfully designed and quality benefits program to meet the needs of our associates.
