Ideal candidates are those who are energetic, patient and enjoy working with elementary aged students grades 2-5 . Duties to include supervising and supporting students during lunch in the cafeteria as well as indoor/outdoor recess times.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work effectively with elementary school age children; </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff; </li><li>Ability to take oral and written directives; </li><li>Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position; </li><li>NYSED Fingerprint Clearance* </li></ul> <p>Employment Terms:</p> <ul> <li>10 month, probationary position </li><li>Hours: 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM, Monday - Friday </li><li>Salary Range: In accordance with the Eastchester Monitors Association (EMA) negotiated salary schedule, $18.29 - $24.23 per hour, step placement contingent upon prior relevant experience </li><li>Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law §§305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
