Fabricators may produce patterns/fixtures for fabrication, apply coatings, and work with a variety of materials.</p> <p>Primary Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Examines detailed drawings or specifications to find out job, material and equipment requirements </li><li>Cuts, rolls, shapes, bends, molds, spins, heats, or hammers metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies </li><li>Sets up and/or operates hand and machine tools, torches, and welding equipment </li><li>Assembles parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding or bolting </li><li>Performs routine inspections on assigned equipment and notifies supervisor of defects or needed repairs </li><li>Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment </li><li>Possibility to learn to run computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>PM21</p> <p>North Central Fabrication- Welder/Fabricator</p> <p>Desired Qualifications/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform duties of the role </li><li>Physically capable of handling heavy materials, tools and machines </li><li>Must obtain the necessary training and certification prior to operating any equipment </li><li>Must maintain a valid driver's license or transportation to and from work </li><li>Good hand-eye coordination </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment </li><li>Ability to work independently with little direction when applicable </li><li>Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency </li><li>Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions </li><li>Ability to use equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner </li><li>Ability to read drawings </li><li>Ability to accurately read a tape measure </li><li>Ability to pass a weld test </li><li>Experience prepping and applying a shop coat of prime paint a plus </li><li>Possible shift flexibility as work dictates </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p>
