<p>Buyer</p> <p>The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials, chemicals, packaging, and related supplies in support of manufacturing and distribution operations. This role requires prior purchasing experience within the chemical industry and a strong understanding of chemical materials, supplier qualification, regulatory requirements, and supply chain risk.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Purchased raw materials, specialty chemicals, packaging, and indirect supplies in alignment with production schedules and inventory requirements. </li><li>Managed supplier relationships within the chemical industry to ensure quality, pricing, delivery performance, and regulatory compliance. </li><li>Evaluated and qualified chemical suppliers based on cost, quality, lead time, safety standards, and compliance requirements. </li><li>Negotiated pricing, contracts, and payment terms to achieve cost savings while maintaining supply continuity. </li><li>Issued and managed purchase orders, monitored order status, and resolved discrepancies related to pricing, quantity, or delivery. </li><li>Collaborated with planning, production, quality, and regulatory teams to align purchasing activities with operational and compliance needs. </li><li>Ensured purchased materials met required specifications, certifications, and safety standards. </li><li>Monitored market trends, raw material availability, and supplier risks impacting chemical supply chains. </li><li>Maintained accurate purchasing records, documentation, and ERP system data. </li><li>Supported inventory management efforts to minimize shortages and excess stock. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. </li><li>Proven buying or purchasing experience within the chemical, specialty chemicals, or chemical manufacturing industry. </li><li>Strong understanding of chemical raw materials, supplier qualification, and industry regulations. </li><li>Experience negotiating pricing and contracts with chemical suppliers. </li><li>Proficiency with ERP or MRP systems and Microsoft Excel. </li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Excellent communication and vendor management abilities. </li><li>Experience purchasing hazardous or regulated materials. </li><li>Knowledge of safety, regulatory, or quality standards related to chemical procurement. </li><li>Experience supporting manufacturing or process-driven environments. </li></ul> <p>Job Details:</p> <ul> <li>Direct Hire </li><li>Pay $80k-$90k depending on experience </li></ul> <p>If you are interested, please apply and submit your resume.</p> <p>Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
