<p>Description</p> <p>Boulder County Parks & Open Space Department is seeking to hire a Fleet, Shop, Safety Seasonal Assistant.The Shop, Fleet, and Safety Seasonal Assistant is an entry-level position that supports the maintenance, organization, and safety operations of the Parks and Open Space Department. This role works under direct supervision and provides hands-on support in managing equipment, vehicles, shop spaces, and safety-related tasks.This position involves indoor and outdoor work, including exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dirt, and mechanical hazards. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.</p> <p>This is an hourly, non-benefitedposition that will work 40 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:30pm. This position will work out of5201 St Vrain Road,Longmont, Colorado. Visit studentaid.gov for more information.</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <ul> <li>Assists with routine inspections and basic maintenance of department vehicles, trailers, and equipment </li><li>Supports the organization and upkeep of shop spaces, tools, and supply areas </li><li>Helps ensure equipment and shop operations follow established safety standards and protocols </li><li>Prepares vehicles and equipment for daily field operations (fueling, cleaning, loading supplies) </li><li>Documents inspection reports, maintenance logs, and inventory records </li><li>Responds to basic facility maintenance needs such as cleaning, organizing, and hazard removal </li><li>Performs related work, as required </li><li>May be reassigned during emergency situations </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>PLEASE NOTE: When completing your application describe all relevant education and experience, as applications are assessed based on the required qualifications listed.
