We are looking for a dedicated AVP Operations and Strategy like you to be a part of our Enterprise Emergency Operations team.</p> <p>Job Summary and Qualifications</p> <p>At HCA Healthcare, our mission is to care for and improve human life. As the Assistant Vice President of Operations & Strategy within the Enterprise Emergency Operations Group (EEOG), you will be instrumental in shaping a more resilient health system. This critical leadership role involves leading and supporting enterprise-level program operations, overseeing departmental administrative functions, and driving innovation that safeguards over 290,000 colleagues and serves millions of patients.</p> <p>This leadership position serves as a trusted operational and strategic leader within EEOG, aligning critical priorities with actionable outcomes across emergency management, business continuity, security services, and international emergency operations. You will direct program oversight, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure administrative, technological, and operational excellence across the enterprise. This role is pivotal in integrating the diverse functions of EEOG, fostering a cohesive and high-performing strategic environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Co-lead the development and execution of the EEOG strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with all departmental operating divisions, and enterprise functional areas. </li><li>Define and drive comprehensive governance frameworks across EEOG functions, including the establishment of key performance indicators (KPIs), risk benchmarks, and audit operating division metrics aligned to enterprise objectives. </li><li>Oversee the governance of the Enterprise Emergency Operations Council. </li><li>Build robust systems to track emergency operations initiatives, benchmarks, and field-facing goals, enabling data-driven decision-making. </li><li>Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across all EEOG functions. </li><li>Lead Directors and staff across core support areas: Data, Policies & Plans, Education & Training, Technology Programs, Design & System Integration, and Finance & Administrative Operations. </li><li>Integrate internal teams, corporate resources, and external consultants to deliver strategic objectives efficiently and effectively. </li><li>Oversee critical vendor relationships and enterprise service contracts, optimizing partnerships for organizational benefit. </li><li>Collaborate with leaders of project management organizations and teams of project management professionals to ensure successful initiative execution. </li><li>Under the direction of the Enterprise Incident Manager and in collaboration with peer-executive leaders, direct comprehensive operational support during enterprise-wide crises and activations. </li><li>Maintain scalable response frameworks that enhance global and operational situational awareness. </li><li>Lead budget formulation and diligent monitoring for assigned operational and capital programs, ensuring fiscal responsibility. </li><li>Develop and implement EEOG's strategic communications plan, ensuring clear and consistent messaging. </li><li>Serve as a trusted advisor and liaison to cross-functional stakeholders and governance councils, fostering strong collaborative relationships. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field (required). </li><li>Master's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field (required). </li><li>10+ years of progressive leadership experience with a proven track record of building and optimizing matrixed organizations as well as a focus on strategic vision and enterprise-level program development. </li><li>Proven success in leading large, matrixed programs and teams. </li><li>7+ years of cross-functional leadership experience in complex operational environments (preferred). </li><li>Up to 25% travel expected. </li><li>Occasional 24/7 availability required during escalated events and activations. </li></ul> <p>HCA Healthcare (Corporate), based in Nashville, Tennessee, supports a variety of corporate roles from business operations to administrative positions.
