<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Under general supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional,</p> <ul> <li> <p>Performs counseling and supportive services for mentally ill inmates consisting of social skills groups, reviewing treatment plans, recreational activities, developing and implementing re-entry assessment goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish a supportive, motivational, and therapeutic relationship within the parameters of a correctional environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Plans, organize and lead structured programs including individual and group therapeutic services.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides focus intervention in collaboration with SCDC clinical and custody staff to enhance skills and effective management of inmates.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with custody related duties such as transportation, supervision of recreation and suicide watch.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend divisional meetings and staff training as required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Schedule subject to fluctuate to include after hours and on-site weekend/holiday coverage.</p> <p>This position is at RMHU.</p> <p>Must successfully complete eight (8) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.</p> <p>Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:</p> <p>Recruiting and Employment Services</p> <p>(803) 896-1649</p> <p>Employment@doc.sc.gov</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>State of South Carolina minimum requirements:</p> <p>A high school diploma and relevant experience.
