Branco Enterprises, Inc. is 100% employee owned.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Branco Enterprises is seeking a skilled Mechanic / Field Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain on-road and off-road construction equipment, fleet vehicles, and machinery. This role supports field operations by ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently. The Mechanic / Field Technician works in both shop and field environments and travels to active job sites as needed.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Repair and maintain all types of on-road and off-road heavy construction equipment </li><li>Perform routine maintenance on semi tractor-trailers, end dump trailers and gasoline fleet sedans and pickups </li><li>Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components </li><li>Troubleshoot and repair light engines and small equipment </li><li>Perform welding and basic fabrication repairs as needed </li><li>Travel to job sites to perform field repairs and emergency service as required </li><li>Operate and transport company vehicles and equipment to job sites in compliance with DOT regulations </li><li>Document repairs, complete service records, and communicate effectively with management and field personnel </li><li>Order and track parts and supplies necessary for repairs </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in shop and field settings </li><li>Comply with all company safety policies and OSHA regulations </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 3 years mechanical experience (diesel mechanic and/or heavy equipment technician preferred) </li><li>Strong ability to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, engine, and hydraulic systems </li><li>CDL-A with clean MVR required </li><li>Ability to read and interpret service manuals and technical schematics </li><li>Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple repair tasks </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier loads with assistance </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with construction or heavy civil equipment </li><li>Diesel certifications or manufacturer training </li><li>Welding, fabrication, wiring, or crane experience </li><li>Familiarity with CAT, John Deere, Cummins, Grove, or Terex equipment </li></ul> <p>Work Environment / Travel</p> <p>This position involves both shop-based and field-based work. Travel to project sites throughout the four-state area (Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas) and beyond may be required. Work may be performed in outdoor environments and active construction settings.</p> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <p>Compensation is based on experience.
