<p>Summary</p> <p>Operates a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat of pathologies.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.</p> <p>Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.</p> <p>Enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develops film in an automatic processor.</p> <p>Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.</p> <p>Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).</p> <p>Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.</p> <p>Assists in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.</p> <p>Licensure / Certification / Registration:</p> <p>BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</p> <p>One or more of the following:</p> <p>American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered Technologist in Radiography R.T.(R)(ARRT) required within one year of transfer or hire date.</p> <p>American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of transfer or hire date. Must be in good standing or registry eligible.</p> <p>Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.</p> <p>Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography</p> <p>(ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.</p>
