Provide general support in labs for related departments such as Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Geology, and Geography.</p> <p>Responsibilities Include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Monitor open lab sessions and help students with computing operations</p> </li><li> <p>In coordination with ITC faculty manage the lifecycle of information technology hardware and software used for ITC labs</p> </li><li> <p>Assist the departments of Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Geology and Geography as requested or needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist faculty in room and equipment preparation for ITC classes and labs</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain records and prepare reports.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.</p> </li></ul> <p>Salary Range:</p> <p>We would like to clarify that the correct salary range for the College Lab Assistant 1 - ITS Lab Assistant position is $20.58 - $28.35 /Hour and $42,971 - $59,195/Year. We encourage you to reach out to our office if you have any questions.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Post-secondary coursework in information technology systems and network administration </li></ul> <p>OR</p> <ul> <li>6 months of teaching/tutoring experience in information technology systems and network administration at the high school level or above </li></ul> <p>OR</p> <ul> <li>An equivalent combination of education and work experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualification</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education and experience in:</p> </li><li> <p>Enterprise network router, switch, and firewall configuration</p> </li><li> <p>Linux server administration</p> </li><li> <p>Enterprise virtual machine hypervisor administration</p> </li><li> <p>Windows server and client administration</p> </li><li> <p>PC hardware including assembly and disassembly of systems</p> </li><li> <p>Communication skills including the ability to understand complex technical written and verbal instructions and to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize projects and work with limited supervision</p> </li><li> <p>Technical experience with at least some of these specific technologies:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li> <p></p> </li></ul> <p>Proxmox Hypervisor</p> <ul> <li> <p>Cisco IOS routers and switches</p> </li><li> <p>OPNsense Firewalls</p> </li><li> <p>OpenVPN</p> </li><li> <p>Debian Linux Servers</p> </li><li> <p>NDG Netlab</p> </li><li> <p>IT Infrastructure Automation (Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible)</p> </li><li> <p>Active Directory and LDAP</p> </li><li> <p>Python Scripting</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)</p> <p>Monday - Friday; Hours vary depending on class hours</p> <p>Telework (Yes/No)</p> <p>No</p> <p>Application Procedure:</p> <p>Please upload the following information with your application:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Transcript (Applications must include transcripts to be considered.
