<p>Preschool Paraprofessional @ Bellbrook Preschool</p> <p>Position Type: Preschool Paraprofessional for Bellbrook Preschool</p> <p>Location: Located in the board of education building in Bellbrook</p> <p>Date Available: August 11, 2025 (for the 25-26 School year)</p> <p>Greene County Educational Service Center:</p> <p>Operated by the GCESC, the Preschool Program is located in Bellbrook and has a combination of children from Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools. The program serves children ages 3-5. This is a public school position including 50% of students with disabilities and 50% without disabilities. This person would be working as a paraprofessional in the classroom. The hours are 8:00-3:00, Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday, Friday (no school on Wednesdays) during the school year.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Meet one of the following: Associate's Degree or higher, 48 semester hours, or passing score on State Board of Education ParaPro Assessment </li><li>Valid Ohio Department of Education Educational Aide Permit </li><li>Experience and/or training with preschool aged students is a plus but not mandatory </li><li>Experience working with children with special needs and/or visual impairments is a plus but not mandatory </li><li>Meet legal requirements relative to a criminal background check </li><li>Maintain acceptable attendance record and punctuality </li></ul> <p>General Description:</p> <ul> <li>Assist teacher and other preschool staff working with children ages 3-5 in a small preschool setting that accommodates children with special needs </li><li>Assist preschool aged child(ren) with daily tasks, routines, picture schedules, work </li><li>Take teacher direction and implement assigned tasks into daily routines </li><li>Work collaboratively with preschool staff to provide a multidisciplinary team approach </li><li>Work collaboratively with teacher in best interest of children </li><li>Must meet preschool licensure laws with PD hours and develop an OCCRRA account </li><li>Must be trained or willing to be trained in Communicable Disease, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, CPR, and CPI </li><li>Duties may require lifting, carrying, standing, reaching, bending, crouching, and/or kneeling. </li><li>Duties may include diapering or potty training and assisting with personal care tasks; assistance with low-vision needs as directed by school nurse and/or visual impairment specialist </li><li>Must maintain an updated physical every 3 years </li><li>Potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens and communicable diseases. </li><li>Potential for interaction with disruptive and/or unruly children </li></ul> <p>Salary: In accordance with the GCESC salary schedule; starting salary begins around $17+ per hour and commensurates with training and experience</p> <p>SEND: Cover letter, updated resume, 3 references or 3 letters of recommendation, licenses pertinent to the position to twomack@greeneESC.org</p> <p>For position specific questions, contact:</p> <p>Traci Womack, Director of Preschool Programs - twomack@greeneESC.org</p>
