<p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Serves as the teacher of record/or teacher of service for all students in 7th grade; there is a</p> <p>chance that this position could result in looping with 7th/8th grade students</p> <p>Provides co-teaching support within the special education supported classrooms.</p> <p>Provides academic support and intervention to increase student's independence and academic</p> <p>success.</p> <p>Provides support for general education teachers for students receiving consultative services.</p> <p>Conducts case conferences, writes student goals, monitors student progress and communicates</p> <p>progress consistently with parents.</p> <p>Implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively</p> <p>engaged in meaningful learning experiences.</p> <p>Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with</p> <p>varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.</p> <p>Assists in assessing changing behavioral needs and offers plans for improvement.</p> <p>Maintains effective and efficient record keeping procedures</p> <p>Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the</p> <p>learning process.</p> <p>Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other</p> <p>professionals on a regular basis.</p> <p>Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and</p> <p>community.</p> <p>Assumes responsibility for meeting his/her school wide performance goals.</p> <p>Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines,</p> <p>honoring schedules, attending all faculty and department meeting, and being involved with the</p> <p>school improvement process.</p> <p>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by school administration.</p>
