<p>As the Director of Quality, you will lead and manage a team of up to 15 professionals, including engineers, technicians, inspectors, and administrative staff.</p> <p>You will be responsible for developing and enforcing quality systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Direct and manage a team of up to 15 professionals. </li><li>Hire, train, and develop staff. </li><li>Establish and enforce quality systems to meet AS9100 and customer requirements. </li><li>Monitor and report quality metrics to leadership. </li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding quality compliance, audits, and complaints. </li><li>Collaborate with Purchasing to monitor and improve supplier performance. </li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency. </li><li>Manage departmental budget effectively. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a technical or management-related field (BSEE preferred). </li><li>Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, including supervisory and managerial roles. </li><li>Experience with FAA regulatory compliance and certification processes. </li><li>Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>Ability to learn and understand complex production processes. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Quality certifications (CQE, CQA, or similar). </li><li>Experience with AS9100 standards and First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102). </li><li>Material Review Board experience. </li><li>Supplier quality and audit experience </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Permanent position based out of Plainview, NY.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $72.00 - $85.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
