<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Location: Lawrence Elementary School</p> <p>Reports to: ESY Coordinator and Director/Supervisor of Special Education</p> <p>Mission Statement:</p> <p>Middletown Public Schools cultivates the brilliance in each student.</p> <p>Values and Belief Statements:</p> <p>Empowerment: Middletown Public Schools empowers its students with the knowledge and skills to create lives brimming with purpose, passion and fulfillment.</p> <p>Community: Middletown Public Schools harnesses the power of community by fostering an environment of mutual understanding and appreciation.</p> <p>Growth: Middletown Public Schools encourages a culture of growth and exploration, inspiring lifelong learners.</p> <p>Authenticity: Middletown Public Schools embraces each person's authenticity and cultivates an inclusive culture that brings about a sense of belonging.</p> <p>Theory of Action for Middletown Public Schools:</p> <p>If Middletown believes that every student has the right quality, student-centered education, THEN adults will cultivate creative, accessible, and innovative structures and opportunities with students, AND every student will demonstrate personalized growth and achieve at high levels to thrive in life.</p> <p>Broad Function:</p> <p>BCBA for Extended School Year Program- PreK and Elementary age</p> <p>Responsibilities and Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Work collaboratively with building staff to promote positive student behavior </li><li>Demonstrate expertise in the area of data collection and behavior analysis </li><li>Demonstrate behavior management ideas and/or techniques </li><li>Provide training in the use of data collection, positive behavior supports, intervention techniques and instructional methodologies for staff. </li><li>Work with students who exhibit maladaptive/unexpected behaviors and provide support and professional learning for staff who work with such students </li><li>Monitors progress and evaluates treatment effectiveness regularly, maintaining high rates of progress </li><li>Identifies behavior goals and intervention techniques utilizing non-aversive behavior change methods </li><li>Selects intervention and strategies according to the needs and desires and abilities of the individual </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>BCBA credential </li><li>Current experience working with students demonstrating a range of academic and social learning needs </li><li>Applicants must be committed to working the entire ESY session. </li></ul> <p>Salary & Compensation:</p> <ul> <li>$44.29/hour </li></ul>
