Utilizes </li></ul> <p>supplies and resources in a cost-effective manner.</p> <ul> <li>Maintains cleanliness, organization, stocking and cleaning of Respiratory Care supplies in the department and </li></ul> <p>throughout the hospital.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assists Respiratory Therapists in completing delegated patient care duties and assigned tasks. Under general supervision by a Respiratory Therapist, performs tasks according to policy and standard procedure.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors patient response to therapy and provides timely, accurate documentation in electronic medical record.</p> </li><li> <p>Therapies include administration of nasal oxygen, nebulized medication treatments, tracheostomy care, and Pulmonary Hygiene therapy (e.g.; Acapella, Thera-Pep, etc.), ECGs, to patients as prescribed by physician. (Note: For Respiratory Therapy Student Tech's only, who have accomplished the theory and clinical module in P&PD, ABG puncture with analyzation, and/or non-invasive ventilation such as BIPAP/CPAP successfully in school and have completed a MHSM RC competency. Will establish and maintain applicable Respiratory Care competencies.)</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains up-to-date knowledge of policies, standards, resources and research relative to work performed.</p> </li><li> <p>Adapts procedures, treatments and services based on patient's age, development and growth stage.</p> </li><li> <p>Accurately completes Electronic Health Record documentation per department standards; and maintains the Order</p> </li><li> <p>Entry and Charging system for services rendered.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in training new Respiratory Care Assistants.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other related duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School diploma/GED; or current student in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and/or college level courses.</p> </li><li> <p>Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.</p> </li><li> <p>Successful graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program is expected within 18 months of hire; and attainment of a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential by the National Board of Respiratory</p> </li></ul> <p>Care (NBRC) is expected within 6 months following graduation.</p> <p>Our Commitment</p> <p>Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
