And our success allows Knoll to support causes that align with our values, so we can build a more sustainable, equitable, and beautiful future for everyone.</p> <p>Machine Operator - Wood</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>Candidate/Incumbant will program and operate CNC woodworking machinery, as well as finishing and assembly of components as required.</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and Operate CNC machines to perform a variety of tasks </li><li>Understand specifications of the task and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc. </li><li>Translate instructions into computer commands to enable the machines to perform the correct function </li><li>Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines </li><li>Conduct a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications. </li><li>Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate a large number of parts </li><li>Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result </li><li>Inspect and measure finished products to ensure the process has been completed properly </li><li>Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure optimum functionality </li><li></li></ul> <p>REQUIRED SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li>Two year associates degree preferred </li><li>Background in woodworking field preferred </li><li></li></ul> <p>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience as a CNC operator preferred </li><li>Prior skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling preferred as well as precision measurement tools </li><li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings </li><li>Mechanical aptitude and excellent math skills. </li><li>Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM preferred </li></ul> <p>Who We Hire?</p> <p>Simply put, we hire qualified applicants representing a wide range of backgrounds and abilities.
