<p>Job Description</p> <p>Cage Washer (Recruiting)</p> <p>Waukegan, IL, United States of America</p> <p>$18.00 - $18.00</p> <p>Back Apply Now</p> <p>Back</p> <p>Apply Now</p> <p>Job Skills / Requirements</p> <p>LACOSTA Facility Support Services is looking for a dedicated cage washer to clean out the mechanical cages in accordance with AbbVie SOPs to sanitize/sterilize cages. This is a fast paced role, so please consider before applying.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Operate mechanical cage washers and bulk autoclaves in accordance with departmental SOPs to sanitize/sterilize animal caging and related equipment. Report promptly any equipment problems to supervisor or manager. </li><li>Fill clean animal cages with proper amount and type of bedding and fill clean water bottles. </li><li>Conduct daily, weekly and other periodic maintenance of cage wash equipment including, conducting and logging quality assurance test. </li><li>Observe and support good health and safety practices regarding the use of chemicals and equipment. </li><li>Transport animal cages, large equipment, water bottles, and feed and bedding supplies within the animal facilities. </li><li>Conduct general cleaning and housekeeping of cage wash and service areas, including washing walls, floors, equipment, air vents, sinks, doors, door frames and feed containers. </li><li>Perform additional duties as required by supervisor/manager/department. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in a warehouse/laboratory is a plus </li><li>Heavy janitorial cleaning experience </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. often </li><li>You will be operating different equipment so experience with such is a must. </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>1st Shift 6 AM-2:30 PM </li><li>Monday - Friday </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <ul> <li>$18.00/hour + weekly pay </li><li>Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>401K/401K Matching </li></ul> <p>LACOSTA Facility Services conducts pre-employment drug screens and background checks.</p> <p>#Abbvie</p> <p>Additional Information / Benefits</p> <p>Benefits: Medical Insurance, Life Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, 401K/403b Plan</p> <p>This job reports to the Jeff Maes</p> <p>This is a Full-Time position 1st Shift.</p> <p>Number of Openings for this position: 1</p> <p>Back Apply Now</p> <p>Back</p> <p>Apply Now</p>
