<p>Overview</p> <p>Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate to be responsible to complete assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, and cost effective manner to support manufacturing, shipping and the entire organization by maintaining the equipment and facility.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support all departments by maintaining equipment and tools needed to meet production and shipping requirements in a cost efficient and quality manner. </li><li>Maintain the facility and building to ensure a safe and proper working environment </li><li>Implement and support continuous improvements to improve productivity and quality. </li><li>Create and maintain a documented preventive maintenance program facility wide according to manufacturer requirements, including safety checks of equipment as needed. </li><li>Communicate with supervisors to prioritize requirements. </li><li>Emphasize the importance of and ensure a safe, healthy, work environment by ensuring compliance with government and company safety and environmental policies. </li><li>Maintain and order supplies as needed. </li><li>Support production in the development and implementation of tooling/fixtures. </li><li>Support production in the assistance of special orders. </li></ul> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 1-2 years facility / equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>High School diploma required </li><li>Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems including PLC and robotic experience a plus </li><li>Knowledge of a powder coat systems helpful </li><li>Proficient in driving a forklift </li><li>Excellent communication skills </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and teamwork are required </li><li>Must be dependable </li><li>Must be able to follow through with instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor </li><li>Must be able to focus on tasks at hand and complete them </li><li>Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time </li><li>Working knowledge of 6S and Lean Manufacturing Principles </li><li>Must be able to make decisions and accept responsibility for those decisions </li><li>Excellent conflict resolution skills </li><li>Knowledge of OSHA compliance and environmental regulations </li><li>Must align with the Snap-on mission statement </li><li>Work flexible hours (i.e. overtime, as needed) </li><li>Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), and Ear Plugs (If Applicable). </li><li>Must adhere to safety guidelines </li></ul>
