<ul> <li>This is a Tiffin, OH onsite opportunity* </li></ul> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Plant Expeditor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the timely flow of materials, equipment, and resources necessary for plant operations. This role involves monitoring production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials, resolving supply chain issues, and facilitating communication between suppliers, vendors, and plant departments. The Plant Expeditor plays a critical role in ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations by managing inventory, expediting orders, and supporting the overall efficiency of manufacturing processes.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Material & Supply Coordination: Monitor the flow of raw materials, parts, and components to ensure the plant has all necessary resources for production without delays. </li><li>Order Expediting: Expedite purchase orders, track shipments, and coordinate delivery schedules to meet plant production requirements. </li><li>Inventory Management: Ensure accurate inventory levels and prevent stockouts by anticipating material needs based on production schedules. </li><li>Schedule Monitoring: Work closely with production teams to maintain adherence to schedules, adjusting material or production plans as needed to meet deadlines. </li><li>Vendor Liaison: Maintain regular communication with vendors and suppliers to track order status, resolve delivery issues, and negotiate lead times. </li><li>Problem Resolution: Address any delays or issues in the supply chain, production bottlenecks, or transportation disruptions, implementing corrective actions as necessary. </li><li>Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, quality control, and logistics teams to streamline operations and ensure materials are available for production. </li><li>Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of inventory levels, order status, and expediting activities. Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance and any issues encountered. </li><li>Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all plant safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations related to material handling and transportation. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial expediting, supply chain, or logistics role. </li><li>Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred. </li><li>Technical Skills: Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word). </li><li>Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams. </li><li>Attention to Detail: Ability to monitor multiple tasks and track material shipments while ensuring accuracy. </li><li>Problem-solving Abilities: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to address supply chain or production delays. </li><li>Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks efficiently. </li></ul>
