<p>Position Summary Shift - 7am-7pm (Days) Administers patient care in an area in a hospital or inpatient setting where patients have an advanced illness or injury that routinely requires timely, intense, and complex care to stabilize and support the patient's medical condition. These areas require a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio and highly trained team members with advanced skills. Qualifications Education/Training • Graduate of an approved school of nursing. • Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department. Licensure/Certification • Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification. • ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas. NRP required for Neonatal Intensive care Unit (NICU). Experience • 1+ year experience required Responsibilities Essential Functions Answers incoming requests for service and coordinates operations for the Emergency Transfer?Center utilizing multiple telephones, computers, and other technology/software as required.? Facilitates all requests for physician acceptance to Orlando Health hospitals via the Emergency Transfer Center (ETC).?? Triages and performs multiple critical tasks in a stressful environment calmly and collectively and completes tasks in a??timely manner. Functions as a team member in all respects of the Air Care Team and ETC Team.?? Identifies and prioritizes information to take immediate and decisive evidence-based, patient focused action. Documents all plan of care advised of physicians on conference call. Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills and judgement to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies, high intensity interventions, and concluding what Physician specialty is needed for care of patient. Utilizes policies, procedures and algorithms to facilitate critical thinking required to transfer and transport patients.?? Collaborates with ANOM, and NOM, as needed, to receive proper clinical support to ensure safe and timely transport and transfer of?patients.?? Pushing and pulling of images via Powershare Application. Screening all transfer cases regarding transportation. Q2 Hour follow up on all transfer requests, Pending and Accepted. Facilitates all outbound transfers to Non-OH facilities and providing clinical information. Triages OH Ground transport requests to advise on order of Priority. Performs escalation process for transfer requests to the appropriate individuals. Gathers updates on all level of care bed availability. Serves as a preceptor to newly onboarded staff. Collaborates with physicians and healthcare team to facilitate transfer and transport requests.?? Maintains a safe and clean environment.?? Demonstrates competency in unit specific tasks and skills as defined by unit specific competency list.?? Communicate appropriate information regarding aspects of the mission to fellow team members for effective decision?? making.?? Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal,?state and local standards.? Adheres to department policies and uniform standards.?? Maintains a high level of professional communication and respect while on duty.??
