It consists of several teams focused on accelerating JPMorgan Chase's data, analytics, and AI journey, including data strategy, data impact optimization, privacy, data governance, transformation, and talent. We are looking for a team member with experience in a large, complex banking organization with a large tech stack to help support the strategy for how we make data available to power everything from new product development to Artificial Intelligence models. Joining the Data Development Lifecycle (DDLC) Strategy team means you will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of new architecture, tool chains, user centric design and control frameworks to improve the development and deployment of data done safely, efficiently, and at scale.</p> <p>As a Vice President for Data Development Lifecycle (DDLC) Strategy Lead within our firmwide teams, you will be given the opportunity to collaborate with various lines of business and corporate functions. This strategic position plays a crucial role in transforming the firm's data development process. Your responsibilities will include overseeing key aspects of the data development lifecycle, from concept to delivery. We are seeking someone with a background in data science or a related technical field. Given the high visibility of this role, we value excellent written and oral communication skills. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage with leaders across the business.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Define the process for data development from the perspective of data practitioners, across all stages of the lifecycle with defined roles & responsibilities. </li><li>Work closely with technology leaders to develop a firmwide reference architecture to support data development and testing in controlled environments. </li><li>Work closely with risk management and controls to develop a control framework for managing data risks. </li><li>Manage the end to end delivery of changes to key platforms and toolchains which support DDLC from proof of concept through deployment. </li><li>Collaborate and align with various departments and support groups (architects, data engineers, other technologists) to achieve business outcomes. </li><li>Identify opportunities for continuous development and improvement of the DDLC ensuring that changes are done safely and at scale. </li><li>Demonstrate self-motivation and tenacity, working with a high degree of independence. </li><li>Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively across a wide variety of stakeholders in decision making and strategy implementation. </li><li>Assist in identifying, escalating, and mitigating project risks that could impair our ability to execute on the strategy. </li></ul> <p>Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:</p> <ul> <li>7+ years' experience in financial services, data/technology or related consulting industry. </li><li>Advanced degree in business or technical/quantitative discipline. </li><li>Structured thinker and effective communicator with excellent written communication skills. Ability to crisply articulate complex technical concepts to senior audiences with poise and confidence. </li><li>Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills. </li><li>Ability to work in a highly collaborative and matrixes environment to build consensus. </li><li>Deep domain expertise (knowledge of clients, products, services,) coupled with deep expertise in the data (applications systems, BI and AI applications) used to manage and execute strategy across multiple business units. </li><li>Exceptional analytical, problem solving, communication and presentation skills. </li><li>Strong knowledge of data mesh architecture and data product concepts. </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in roadmap creation and execution, aligning and leading business operations to strategic organizational goals. </li><li>Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and their application in data management/governance. </li><li>Understanding of control and risk management concepts. </li><li>Strong product management and project management skills. </li></ul>
