It involves planning, organizing, coordinating\nand evaluating line operations. In addition, serves as the principal Deputy to\nthe Director, and functions as the Director in his or her absence. The position\nassists the Director, ex officio, as requested or as necessary in administrative\nand staff functions.\nIt\ninvolves skills to assess the current operations in relation to broader needs\nto address systemic issues relating to the Program. The position will assist to\ndevelop, implement, monitor/expedite, and evaluate initiatives, agendas, and\nprojects involving the Program.\n\n\n Provides supervision and evaluation of personnel.\n Establishes and maintains training compatible to the Department's needs and individualized\n pretrial staff training needs.\n Provides\n assistance to the Director of Pretrial Services Program ("Program") in the\n standardization of operational aspects of the Program so that Program and the\n staff work cohesively in providing?effective\n and measurable pretrial services.\n Directly\n responsible for activities of the Program's operations.\n Keeps\n abreast of professional literature recommending innovative approaches and/or\n programs to the Director for inclusion into operational functions.\n Identifies\n and resolves problems that would not require the Director's direct involvement.\n Problems are addressed in accordance with priorities, policies, discretion, and\n commitments of?Program's\n and Director's goals.\n Works\n to develop and maintain the planning, organization, and coordination of operations\n and activities of the Program.\n Develops\n and maintains an effective training program.\n Develops\n plans to implement various initiatives for the Program for review and approval\n by the Director.\n Assists\n in the supervision of specific programs, sub-programs or operational units.\n Promotes\n public interest in the Program through engagement with the community and\n impacted individuals.\n\n\n</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education:\nBachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.?\nExperience:\nTen (10) years of experience leading and facilitating evidence-based policies in\nidentifying national best practices to drive system improvements, with a focus\non pretrial and/or parole and probation, decarceration, and/or equitable\npractices; With two (2) years of training/education staff and community members on topics related to pretrial services and related topics.?\n</p> <p>DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>\n\n\n Experience\n developing grant proposals and funding narratives, including implementation to\n various stakeholders through statistical analysis and/or accessible formatted\n aids.?\n Possession of a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or Legal & Ethical Studies.\n\n\n</p> <p>SELECTION PROCESS</p> <p>Please make sure that you provide sufficient information on your application to show that you meet the qualifications for this recruitment.
