<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position is responsible for developing and implementing policy initiatives related to the regulation of professional licensure and building safety in the State of Wisconsin. Key responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing emerging policy issues, recommending strategic direction, and advancing initiatives that support effective regulation. The position plays a critical role in shaping the agency's long-term strategy and public policy positions at both the state and national levels.</p> <p>This role requires maintaining strong working relationships with the Governor's Office, state and federal legislators, other state agencies, national policy boards, and related stakeholders. The position holds significant authority to coordinate inter-divisional resources to support the implementation of interstate agreements on professional licensure and building safety.</p> <p>This position is also responsible for coordinating liaison functions with the boards, councils, and committees supported by the Department. For directly regulated professions, the role involves conducting research, analyzing data, and recommending agency policy. For board-regulated professions, the position works collaboratively with the boards and councils to ensure effective policy implementation.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This position is in schedule-range (81-02) with an annual salary of $93,600 - $110,011.20 plus excellent benefits. A 2 year career executive trial period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Prior to any appointments for position(s) filled from this announcement, candidates may be subject to a comprehensive criminal background check.</p> <p>This state agency does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>A minimally qualified applicant must have experience with all the below:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in policy analysis, development, and/or implementation to support strategies and operations. </li><li>Experience in researching and interpreting regulations, policies, procedures, or other complex documents. </li><li>Experience acting as a liaison or representative for an organization with internal and external customers. Duties may include attending meetings, serving as a lead or point of contact for a committee/organization, gather and exchange information with internal and external customers, and/or representing the organization at external events, etc. </li></ul> <p>In addition to the above qualifications, well qualified applicants will have experience with at least one of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in monitoring and analyzing emerging and relevant policy initiatives related to regulation of professional licensure and/or building safety. </li><li>Experience in policy development and implementation on policy initiatives related to regulation of professional licensure and/or building safety. </li></ul> <p>A higher score may be obtained for candidates with experience pertaining to licensed occupations or building codes.</p> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply online!
