Our expertise in material sciences, coupled with Response Technologies' additive manufacturing and innovative processes, continues to strengthen our position as industry leaders. https://www.responsetechs.com/</p> <p>Engineer Support Technician</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Technician/Aide to support our engineering team by handling day-to-day shop floor assistance tasks, responding to machine issues, and running data collection for engineering projects.</p> <p>This position is onsite in Coventry, Rhode Island.</p> <p>What you'll be doing as an Engineer Support Technician:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the manufacturing and assembly of various products and parts. </li><li>Act as the first responder for machine issues, ensuring minimal downtime. </li><li>Test products to ensure specifications are met and document processing conditions. </li><li>Collect and analyze data for engineering projects. </li><li>Maintain clean and safe workstations and fabrication areas. </li><li>Keep detailed records of production and report any inconsistencies or equipment issues. </li><li>Assist with inventory and equipment surveillance to ensure compliance with operational, safety, and regulatory standards. </li><li>Support the creation of new products using various composites, textiles, coatings, foams, and additive manufacturing technologies. </li><li>Conduct quality audits and inspections, execute trial plans, and develop and document new test plans. </li></ul> <p>Skills You Bring to This Role:</p> <ul> <li>Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively. </li><li>Hands-on experience with testing and measurement equipment preferred. </li><li>Ability to follow instructions, identify potential issues, and ask for clarification when needed. </li><li>Willingness to contribute to team efforts and the overall success of the organization. </li></ul> <p>What you need to be successful:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in engineering or related field is preferred. </li><li>At least 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment. </li><li>Knowledge of composites, textiles, medical products and other processing/fabrication equipment preferred. </li><li>Proficiency in laboratory practices and materials testing equipment preferred. </li><li>Working knowledge in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel). </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands </li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift </li><li>Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools </li><li>Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks </li><li>Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues </li></ul> <p>What we offer you in return:</p> <ul> <li>You'll be off every Friday with our 4x10 work schedule </li><li>80 hours of Personal Time Off (PTO) </li><li>120 hours Vacation time </li><li>12-13 paid holidays per year </li><li>6 weeks parental leave </li><li>Tuition reimbursement </li><li>Competitive salary </li><li>Comprehensive health insurance </li><li>Access to Employee Resource Groups </li><li>And so much more </li></ul> <p>It's time to make your mark on the future of aviation.
