This individual will conduct assigned deliveries. Loads and unloads trucks in the assigned department/location. Performs other tasks as required.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Loads and unloads materials </li><li>Drives truck to destinations and returns safely </li><li>Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations </li><li>Prepares and maintains required documentation </li><li>Performs emergency roadside repairs </li><li>Positions hazardous material trailer identification </li><li>Reads maps and plans routes to the load destination </li><li>Maintains acceptable driving record </li><li>Assists the needs of the customer </li><li>Assists in the distribution center as necessary or directed </li><li>Performs other tasks as required </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Department of Transportation and state regulations and local laws pertaining to vehicle operations </li><li>Knowledge of truck hauling procedures </li><li>Knowledge of hazardous waste materials and safe handling procedures </li><li>Skill in operating lift trucks </li><li>Ability to understand and follow directions </li><li>Ability to work independently and as a team </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>EDUCATION</p> <p>High School Graduate or GED</p> <p>Must have a valid Class B Commercial Driver's license</p> <p>Hazardous material endorsement</p> <p>EXPERIENCE</p> <p>1+ years</p> <p>Local experience</p> <p>No chargeable accidents in three years</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMS</p> <p>ENVIRONMENT: Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness.
