Discover your opportunities at Yale!</p> <p>Salary Range</p> <p>$65,500.00 - $123,550.00</p> <p>Overview Reporting to the University Title IX Coordinator, with day-to-day oversight by the Senior Deputy Title IX Coordinator, the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Yale College is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the University's Title IX program within Yale College and, as required, within the broader University community. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving a positive, safe and equitable campus environment for the Yale College community. In particular, this position will respond to inquiries and concerns raised by members of the community, provide accommodations and other supportive measures, facilitate access to other University support resources, and participate in the development and delivery of education and prevention programs. Required Skills and Abilities 1. Working knowledge of relevant state and federal laws including Title IX, Clery, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and Campus Sexual Violence Elimination (SaVE), as well as trends and initiatives both national and local. Demonstrated experience with designing and facilitating programming and training for students in a higher education environment. 2. Demonstrated talent for listening as well as experience facilitating conversations on sensitive topics with a high degree of discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality and personal relationships. 3. Ability to oversee and manage a caseload of student-related concerns in a manner that ensures the prompt, effective, and equitable conclusion of such concerns. 4. Ability to build trust and work collaboratively with a community of students, faculty, staff, administrators and community partners. 5. Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, as well as, strong critical thinking, analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Preferred Education, Experience and Skills Masters or other advanced degree and proven experience working with students in a higher education environment is strongly preferred.</p> <p>Principal Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li>Under the direction of the University Title IX Coordinator, develop and implement appropriate policies, procedures, trainings, and complaint response resources that are consistent with Title IX and University policies. 2. Serve as a strategic partner to the senior leadership of Yale College to ensure compliance with Title IX and related University policies. 3. Participate in workshops and trainings to help prevent sexual misconduct and create a positive, safe, and equitable campus climate for the Yale College community. 4. Receive and respond to inquiries from or needs identified by faculty, staff, students, and other members of the University community regarding rights and responsibilities under Title IX and related University policies. 5. Provide information to faculty, staff, students, and other members of the University community about options available for pursuing complaints alleging a violation of Title IX and related University policies. 6. Receive, seek resolutions to and, where appropriate, investigate complaints from faculty, staff, students, and other members of the University community alleging a violation of Title IX and related University policies. 7. Provide to the University's Title IX Coordinator, on a timely basis, a summary of the complaints and inquiries received by the Deputy, as well as actions taken to resolve/investigate the complaints. 8. Coordinate and collaborate with the other Title IX Coordinators on matters related to Title IX including, as needed, complaint response/investigation, training/education, and program development. 9. Coordinate and collaborate with the Sexual Harassment and Assault Response & Education Center (SHARE), the Yale Police, the University-wide Committee on Sexual Misconduct, and the Office of the General Counsel. 10. Actively participate in regular meetings and training activities of the Title IX Coordinator team, to develop relevant skills and maintain knowledge on Title IX matters 11. May perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
