<p>Must Have Technical/Functional Skills</p> <ul> <li>Design, build, and maintain microservices and APIs in Python or Java to support provisioning, routing, monitoring, and control-plane functions for backbone voice services. </li><li>Develop web UIs and dashboards (e.g., React or Angular with TypeScript) for self service configuration, operations, and observability. </li><li>Containerize and operate services on Kubernetes (preferably EKS), including Helm charts and/or Customize, autoscaling, RBAC, and workload security. </li><li>Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (modular patterns) for AWS networking, EKS, IAM, compute, storage, and observability stacks. </li><li>Adopt Configuration as Code and Git Ops for Kubernetes (e.g., Helm, Customize, Argo CD/Flux) to enable versioned, auditable rollouts of services and network configurations. </li><li>Build event-driven and streaming integrations (e.g., Kafka and/or SQS) to capture call events, metrics, and operational signals for real time insights. </li><li>Partner with voice and network engineers to integrate with SIP and/or SBCs, PBX and/or call recording, and voice QoS (jitter, packet loss, MOS), implementing secure signaling and/or media (TLS and/or SRTP). </li><li>Establish CI and/or CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI), automated testing (e.g., unit, integration, contract, and/or load), and security scanning. </li></ul> <p>Roles & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Excellent collaboration and communication skills working across software, network, and operations teams </li><li>At least five (5) years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems </li><li>Proven experience on AWS, including but not limited to: </li></ul> <p>o VPC,</p> <p>o EKS,</p> <p>o EC2,</p> <p>o ALB and/or NLB,</p> <p>o IAM,</p> <p>o S3,</p> <p>o RDS and/or DynamoDB, and/or</p> <p>o CloudWatch</p> <ul> <li>Solid experience on one or more of the following: </li></ul> <p>o Linux systems,</p> <p>o Shell scripting,</p> <p>o Git and/or GitHub, and</p> <p>o CI and/or CD toolchains</p> <p>General Technical Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including but not limited to: </li></ul> <p>o TCP/IP,</p> <p>o DNS,</p> <p>o TLS,</p> <p>o HTTP,</p> <p>o Load balancing, and/or</p> <p>o NAT</p> <ul> <li>Solid front end skills with modern framew orks (React or Angular) and TypeScript </li><li>Solid front end skills in component testing </li><li>Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including but not limited to: </li></ul> <p>o PostgreSQL,</p> <p>o MySQL, and/or</p> <p>o DynamoDB</p> <ul> <li>Experience with relational and/or NoSQL database messaging (e.g., Kafka and/or SQS) </li><li>Terraform expertise for IaC, including but not limited to: </li></ul> <p>o Reusable modules,</p> <p>o Workspaces,</p> <p>o Policy as code, and/or</p> <p>o Pipelines</p> <p>Generic Managerial Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Certifications, including but not limited to: </li></ul> <p>o AWS (e.g., Developer, SysOps, and/or DevOps Engineer),</p> <p>o CKA and/or CKAD, and/or</p> <p>o HashiCorp Terraform Associate</p> <p>Salary Range: $85,000-$98,000 a year</p> <p>#LI-DM1</p>
