<p>Provides advanced outpatient psychotherapy to a diverse client population as part of an integrated behavioral health team. Delivers treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions and supports high quality clinical care through evidence informed practice. Serves as a senior clinician by mentoring other practitioners and contributing to a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.</p> <p>Major Duties</p> <ul> <li>Provides comprehensive, evidence informed psychotherapy in individual, group, or family formats for a wide range of mental health needs, from high acuity concerns to general life transitions and wellness. </li><li>Utilizes and promotes innovative, evidence informed therapeutic approaches to enhance clinical effectiveness and support high quality care. </li><li>Assesses and treats substance use concerns within a holistic mental health framework to support comprehensive and integrated client care. </li><li>Provides clinical supervision, mentorship, and case consultation to graduate interns and limited license clinicians to support professional development and foster a culture of clinical excellence. </li><li>Conducts comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develops individualized, data informed treatment plans that address the whole person and support holistic care. </li><li>Collaborates effectively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and coordinated support across clinical services. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution </li><li>Two years' relevant experience </li><li>Demonstrated experience treating both general mental health conditions and Substance Use Disorders. </li><li>Current, full licensure in the State of Michigan (LMSW, LPC, or PhD/PsyD). </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications Special Instructions to Applicants</p> <ul> <li>External applicants should use the WMU - Application. </li><li>Internal applicants should use the WMU - Internal Application. </li></ul> <p>Additional Position Information</p> <ul> <li>Terminal appointment ends 06/30/2026 with a potential of being renewed. </li><li>Staff Compensation System pay grades and rates are available at: https://wmich.edu/hr/staffcompensation </li><li>Western Michigan University offers generous benefits to its employees including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, retirement, and tuition discount for the employee and tuition remission for eligible dependents.
