<p>The Vehicle Maintenance Technician II/Lead performs advanced diagnostics, repair, and preventative maintenance on the resort's fleet, ensuring maximum safe vehicle availability for all mountain operations. This role serves as a working lead, providing technical guidance, training, and workflow oversight to less experienced technicians while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Technical & Mechanical Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform complex preventative maintenance inspections (PMI), troubleshooting, and major repairs on a diverse fleet, including but not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p>Heavy Equipment: Snowcats (groomers), Loaders, Excavators, and Skid Steers.</p> </li><li> <p>Fleet Vehicles: Trucks and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs/UTVs).</p> </li><li> <p>Specialized Equipment: Snowmobiles, generators, and small engine equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Expertly diagnose and repair all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and computer-controlled systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform welding and fabrication (steel and aluminum) as required for repairs and modifications.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct in-field service and recovery operations for disabled vehicles on mountain in all weather conditions, which may require skiing/snowboarding/snowmobiling to the location.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete accurate and precise documentation of all work orders and parts usage.</p> </li></ul> <p>Lead/Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Act as the working Lead for the shift, directing the daily workflow, and ensuring efficient operation of the shop </li><li>Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all team members adhere to shop safety practices, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and Lockout/Tagout procedures. </li><li>Contribute to shop cleanliness, organization, and tool accountability. </li></ul>
