NOVO's regional healthcare linen facilities are HLAC accredited and operate with state-of-the-art processing equipment and processes.</p> <p>POSITION TITLE: Soiled Linen Separator</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Team Leader and Plant Supervisor</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Soil Room Attendant is responsible for removing soil from bags, sort and prepare for washing.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Open up bags at the breakout table and send linen up the belt. </li><li>The primary cart mover (the attendant closest to the soil cart) brings the empty soil cart away from the belt, puts a new cart in area and takes the empty cart and pushes it to the cart area. </li><li>The bag breaker attendant breaks open the bags. </li><li>The attendants on the belt perform the following tasks: </li></ul> <p>o One attendant sorts of large pieces consisting of bath blankets, flat sheets, draw sheets and thermals.</p> <p>o The second attendant sorts the second largest pieces - underpants, patient gowns, and fitted sheets.</p> <p>o The third attendant will handle all the rest of the pieces such as bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, and scrubs.</p> <ul> <li>The last stage of the soil room process is hoist and weigh or staging.
