Adjunct faculty are required to successfully complete an online Canvas LMS orientation course before being scheduled, as well as other training if required by the department. This is an on-site blended/hybrid course, students attend class in person 60% of the time and complete the remaining 40% online through Park's Canvas Learning Management System. Candidates with a Masters in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or Economics will also be considered.</p> <p>MA125 Intermediate Algebra</p> <p>Masters in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics. Candidates with a Master's degree in Statistics, Physics, Mathematical Education, Operations Research, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Finance, Actuarial Science or Economics will also be considered.</p> <p>Course Description</p> <p>MA102 Introductory Algebra</p> <p>This developmental course prepares students to complete Parks Liberal Education mathematics requirement. Topics include integer arithmetic, basic algebraic equations, rational numbers, percentages, and basic graphing.</p> <p>MA120 Basic Concepts of Statistics</p> <p>A development of certain basic concepts in probability and statistics that are pertinent to most disciplines. Topics include: probability models, discrete random variables, normal distributions, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing.</p> <p>MA125 Intermediate Algebra</p> <p>This course provides a transition into college level Mathematics courses. Topics include the real number system, basic operations of algebra, linear, quadratic and rational equations, inequalities, radicals and exponents, and systems of equations.</p>
