<p>Overview</p> <p>Engineer (TWR-2025-23287):</p> <p>Bowhead Operations Maintenance Solutions seeks multiple Engineers to work, on a part-time on-call basis, onboard government vessels out of Naval Station Pearl Harbor (Honolulu, Hawaii).</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The Engineer will supervise and perform maintenance on all engineering, deck, fire-fighting and emergency equipment. Must have experience in routine vessel operations PLUS the following:</p> <ul> <li>Routine engineering operations </li><li>Experience in supervising and maintaining preventive maintenance system documentation and history </li><li>Preventative / corrective maintenance to engineering equipment </li><li>Deck repairs and modifications </li><li>Shipboard safety measures (firefighting, basic first-aid and emergency shipboard systems) Primarily day work (home at night, 80 %), Monday-Friday with occasional weekend harbor work </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Licensed USCG Designated Duty Engineer (DDE) for Motor Vessels of 1000 horsepower with experience in routine operation, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repairs of shipboard systems. with STCW 95 endorsement. </li><li>TWIC (Transportation Worker Identity Card), current. </li><li>Military experience is a PLUS. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds </li><li>Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time </li><li>Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically </li></ul> <p>SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Public Trust clearance at this location.</p>
