You will plan an essential role in supporting patient care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You'll work closely with physicians and nurse practitioners to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients across all ages. Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Room patients, obtain and record vital signs, and document care accurately in CareConnect </li><li>Prepare patients and treatment rooms for exams and assist physicians during procedures </li><li>Perform routine clinical tasks, venipuncture, lab tests, and specimen preparation </li><li>Support patient education and coordinate follow-ups, referrals, and prescription refills </li><li>Maintain clinical areas, supplies, and equipment to ensure a clean and safe environment </li><li>Respond promptly to patient needs and assist during emergency situations </li></ul> <p>Salary range: $29.46/hr - $38.87/hr</p> <p>Job Qualifications</p> <p>Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma, high school transcripts, or GED </li><li>Current BLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross </li><li>Physical ability to push, pull, or carry 30lbs or more </li><li>Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate from one of the following: </li><li>An accredited Medical Assistant Program (ASSCS, ACCET, CAAHEP, or ABHES) or </li><li>National certification for medical assistants (CMA, NCCT, or AMT) or </li><li>Completion of a medical assistant program plus documented training that includes: </li><li>minimum 10 clock hours each in administering injections and performing skin tests, venipuncture, and skin punctures </li><li>at least 10 clock hours each type of injection (Intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal) and skin test, and/or at least 10 venipunctures and 10 skin punctures </li><li>10 hours of training in administering medication by inhalation </li><li>Strong understanding of normal and abnormal symptomatology and recognition of life-threatening conditions </li><li>Proficiency in CPR and safe administration of oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous medications </li><li>Skills in venipuncture, EKGs, and accurate recording of vital signs </li><li>Ability to assist with medical emergencies and office procedures </li><li>Proficient in computerized patient care systems </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control, and OSHA safety standards </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patient, families, and healthcare team members with professionalism and compassion </li><li>Flexible in performing both front and back office duties </li><li>Knowledge of setting up and assisting with procedures such as audiometry, spirometry, oxygen saturation testing, skin tag/mole removals, ear lavage, colposcopies, and flexible sigmoidoscopies </li><li>Ability to perform accurate quality control and waived testing </li><li>Understanding of biohazard and safety protocols </li><li>Reliable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work overtime when needed </li></ul>
