<p>Client Overview:</p> <p>Our client, a well-established manufacturer supporting regulated industries, is seeking a QC Chemist to join their Quality Control team. The organization operates a modern analytical laboratory environment focused on product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.</p> <p>Salary/Hourly Rate:</p> <p>$30/hr - $36/hr Based on experience</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The QC Chemist will support Quality Control and overall laboratory operations by performing analytical testing, contributing to R&D initiatives, and ensuring compliance with established procedures and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HPLC and GC instrumentation and come from a background in pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, or food and beverage industries. This is a contract position requiring immediate availability, and preference will be given to local candidates who have immediate availability.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the QC Chemist:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare, collect, and analyze samples using standard laboratory techniques. </li><li>Conduct routine and non-routine analytical testing and document results. </li><li>Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC). </li><li>Perform wet chemistry techniques and sample preparation. </li><li>Investigate and troubleshoot deviations or out-of-specification results. </li><li>Maintain accurate lab records, logs, and documentation. </li><li>Calibrate and maintain lab equipment and instrumentation. </li><li>Revise and support the development of SOPs and lab documentation. </li><li>Assist with method development and continuous improvement efforts. </li><li>Support internal lab projects and cross-functional initiatives. </li><li>Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience/Skills for the QC Chemist:</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in a Quality Control or analytical chemistry lab. </li><li>Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation (HPLC & GC required) </li><li>Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and data recording practices. </li><li>Experience in troubleshooting instrumentation or analytical methods. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data systems. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to work both independently and within a team. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience/Skills for the QC Chemist:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in regulated industries (e.g., dietary, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing). </li><li>Familiarity with Lean processes or structured problem-solving methodologies. </li><li>Experience supporting audits or working within compliance-driven environments. </li><li>Exposure to method development or validation. </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field is required. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Client-provided benefits available, upon eligibility. </li></ul>
