We are committed to providing a comprehensive and engaging business education that prepares students for success in the 21st-century workforce. We're looking for educators who are passionate about business, technology, and entrepreneurship, and who are eager to inspire and empower students.</p> <p>Our ideal candidate has a strong background in business and a passion for teaching. We are looking for a collaborative team player who uses technology and creative strategies to keep students engaged. You should be dedicated to a student-centered classroom and always looking for new ways to help students succeed.</p> <p>Business Education - 0.2 FTE</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver engaging and effective instruction in various business education courses, including accounting, entrepreneurship, technology, and consumer education, and/or LEP (Limited English Proficiency) courses. </li><li>Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with state standards and prepares students for future success. </li><li>Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners. </li><li>Collaborate with colleagues in Professional Learning Teams to develop creative instructional strategies and resources. </li><li>Utilize research-based instructional strategies to increase student achievement. </li><li>Employ a variety of assessment practices (formative, summative, selected response, extended written response, performance-based) to maximize student learning. </li><li>Demonstrate a wide variety of instructional methods and practices to meet individual student needs. </li><li>Support building extracurricular activities as a coach or sponsor. </li><li>Demonstrate a willingness to work with students of diverse cultural and academic backgrounds. </li><li>Pursue professional growth and stay current with best practices in business education. </li><li>Follow directives of the Career and Technical Education division head. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Senior HS endorsement in Business Education. </li><li>EL endorsement preferred. </li><li>Experienced and outstanding educator, willing to teach all levels of accounting, entrepreneurship, technology, consumer education, and/or LEP courses. </li><li>Must be able and willing to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners. </li><li>Must work effectively within our Professional Learning Team model. </li><li>Must be well-versed in a wide variety of assessment practices that maximize student learning. </li><li>Demonstrate a wide variety of instructional methods & practices to meet individual student needs. </li><li>Support building extracurricular activities as a coach or sponsor. </li><li>Demonstrate a willingness to work with students of diverse cultural and academic backgrounds. </li><li>Pursue professional growth. </li><li>Follow directives of Career and Technical Education division head. </li></ul> <p>Join Our Community:</p> <p>Prospect High School offers a supportive and collaborative environment where educators are empowered to make a lasting impact on students' lives.
