<p>Our Lamar office in Salt Lake City, UT, is now hiring a Transit Administrative & Billing Coordinator to help us bring innovative outdoor advertising campaigns to life for brands in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the surrounding areas. Spreadsheet skills must include the ability to create spreadsheets in Excel, and develop complex formulas, link worksheets, and combine data from more than one source. </li><li>Working knowledge of standard accounting practices and experience using automated/computerized accounting systems. Experience with bookkeeping procedures. </li><li>Must have strong math skills (i.e use decimals to compute ratios and percentages, draw and interpret graphs, calculate mark-ups and discounts). </li><li>Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work. </li><li>Work requires an excellent command of the English language. </li><li>Must be well organized and have excellent written and oral communication skills and have the ability to interact effectively with clients, management, sales staff, and corporate contacts </li><li>Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy. </li><li>Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines. </li><li>Strong work ethic - someone who takes great pride in professionalism, responsibility, and is proactive </li><li>Top candidate will be upbeat and have an outstanding service orientation as well as excellent verbal, written and listening skills </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma required </li><li>College Degree in business or related degree preferred </li><li>1+ years' experience in an office setting is required, preferably in sales administration </li><li>1+ years' experience processing A/P, required </li><li>3+ years' A/R and collections experience preferred </li><li>Minimum of 1 years' experience in bookkeeping/accounting and using automated/computerized accounting systems is required </li><li>OR equivalent combination or education and experience </li></ul> <p>Please note: Upon submitting your application, you will be asked to complete an 8-15 minute personality assessment. Accountable for quality control in final contract submission for billing </li><li>Prepare supporting documents such as billing instructions and addendums that clarify information </li><li>Enter and update data in the CRM system </li><li>Ensure credit applications are complete and that contracts are credit screened before billing </li><li>Review installation reports for completeness and route as directed </li><li>Assist with processing invoices in a timely manner </li><li>Maintain active ATB reports and assist with collection efforts </li><li>Process customer receivables, including allocating payments to correct plants and customer refunds </li><li>Maintain a thorough and organized (electronic or filed) archive of documents </li><li>Maintain a high-level of expertise in appropriate Lamar systems </li><li>Prepares or assists in gathering documents needed to support billing activities. </li><li>Assist and work with Office Manager on needed projects </li><li>Handles extensive work via phone and email. </li><li>Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems </li><li>Work effectively and efficiently with cross-departments </li><li>Work strategically to maximize efficiencies and value for the transit authorities, advertisers, and Lamar </li><li>Update credit approvals in CRM (Monday.com) </li><li>Review POP reports for completeness and route as directed </li><li>Assists management in the set-up and support of new plants and the close-out of locations that Lamar is exiting, as needed </li><li>As required, may perform local errands to pick up and deliver supplies, meals, etc. </li><li>Receives packages and mail for the office </li><li>Assist Office Manager with office organization and maintenance of equipment and facilities </li><li>Cross-train with other administrative positions and duties to ensure adequate coverage </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>The primary work environment for this position is an office. </li><li>The physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading, acuity, and depth perception), and talking. </li><li>Nights spent away from home traveling are less than 10% </li></ul> <p>Who we are:</p> <p>Founded in 1902, Lamar Advertising Company is one of the largest outdoor advertising companies in the world.
