<p>Human Resources Assistant</p> <p>Department: Packaging Operations</p> <p>Employment Type: Full Time</p> <p>Location: La Vergne, TN</p> <p>Reporting To: Sarah Figueroa</p> <p>Description</p> <p>The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.</p> <ul> <li>Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, systems, records, and documentation. </li><li>Update HRIS accurately and consistently. </li><li>Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management. </li><li>Responsible for verifications of employment sent to HR department. </li><li>Assist with coding HR related billing. </li><li>Manage all new hire paperwork, ensure I9s and E-Verify are properly completed. </li><li>Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. </li><li>Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately. </li><li>Provides administrative support to the HR department. </li><li>May assist with payroll functions including reporting, processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks. </li><li>Conducts or assists with new hire orientation and onboarding. </li><li>Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, and retirement celebrations. </li><li>Greets guests and ensure check-in process is followed. </li><li>Responsible for answering and routing all company inbound calls </li><li>Back up for Office Administrator </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by management </li></ul> <p>Skills, Knowledge & Expertise</p> <p>EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma, or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. </li><li>Paylocity experience preferred but not required. </li><li>Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred. </li></ul> <p>Job Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Employee-owned </li><li>Advancement Opportunities </li><li>Weekly pay </li><li>Insurance coverage that includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance and flexible spending accounts </li><li>401(k) with employer match </li><li>Paid holidays and competitive vacation/sick pay plans </li><li>Tuition assistance program </li><li>Employee stock ownership program (ESOP) </li></ul>
