<p>The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is seeking a full-time Mechanic Automotive to join our national award-winning Fleet Team. This position is responsible for the skilled mechanical maintenance, inspection, repair and diagnosis of the district's equipment and alternative fuel light duty vehicles and will work within a state-of-the-art workshop and garage located in West Chicago, IL.</p> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <p>Rate of pay $28.79 - $32.40 per hour, dependent on experience.</p> <p>Generous benefit package including Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, IMRF pension, paid holidays, sick-time, vacation, Tuition Reimbursement, Life Insurance, Deferred Compensation, and more.</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>We are looking for a skilled mechanic with 1-3 years of related experience as an automotive mechanic with knowledge and experience of alternative fuel and electric drive train and specialized turf maintenance equipment and machinery.
