The Cafe Aide's primary job function is to perform a variety of tasks including cleaning and sanitizing work areas, making menus selections according to recipes and standards, stocking, cashiering, and pre-prepping food items for café. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.</p> <ol> <li> <p>Prepares various menu selections according to recipes and standards. Works any station in the Café as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Interacts with visitors and co-workers with a cheerful, helpful behavior and provides excellent customer service.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares food items to be utilized (slicing, chopping, dicing, shredding, assembling and packaging)</p> </li><li> <p>Measures ingredients using instruments such as scale, measuring cups, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Portions food in a safe and sanitary manner according to proper guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Cleans and prepares fresh product by washing, slicing, etc. using equipment such as slicer, mixer, knives, chopper etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares daily work station according to proper procedure in a timely fashion.</p> </li><li> <p>Cleans equipment, dishes, utensils, pots, pans, trays, etc. following approved sanitary techniques and standards. Stores and delivers clean items to appropriate areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Bundles and dispenses of trash. Sanitizes and relines trash receptacles for reuse.
