<p>Tower Behavioral Health in Reading, PA is EXPANDING!</p> <p>We are growing and want you to grow with us! Tower Behavioral Health (TBH) is seeking passionate Registered Dietitian to join our team. Come be a part of our state of the art Psych-Safe facility, with spacious outdoor courtyards, indoor gymnasiums, an herb garden and bird sanctuary. We are located on a serene, partially wooded parcel on the west side of Route 183 in Reading, PA.</p> <p>Tower is a 144-bed treatment center providing services to adults, adolescents, and seniors. The facility offers inpatient and outpatient programs, counseling, treatment for substance use disorders and other services.</p> <p>This is a full time position, Monday through Friday - no weekends.</p> <ul> <li>20 hours EDU Specialty </li><li>20 hours Inpatient general </li><li>$3,000 sign on bonus! </li></ul> <p>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</p> <p>Serve as expert in the use of food and nutrition to promote health and manage disease.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling. </li><li>Approve patient menus and nutritional supplements. </li><li>Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, diet modifications and food selection and preparation. </li><li>Provide nutritional assessments per facility policy and regulation. </li><li>Review and approve menus developed by the facility. </li><li>Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life. </li><li>Consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patient. </li><li>Participate in treatment team as appropriate. </li><li>Review and approve facility diet manual annually in conjunction with medical staff. </li><li>Promote better health by speaking to groups about diet, nutrition and the relationship between good eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases. </li><li>Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards as needed. </li></ul> <p>OTHER FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in Dietetics, Nutrition or similar field acceptable for licensure. </li><li>Experience with Eating Disorders and Substance use strongly preferred in facilities working with those patient populations. </li></ul> <p>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Current registered dietician or registration as required by state or eligible for endorsement by the state in which the facility provides services. </li><li>ServSafe certification or similar food safety certification where required by the state or facility. </li></ul> <p>We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants for employment regardless of an individual's characteristics protected by applicable state, federal and local laws.</p> <p>TOWBH</p> <p>#LI-TBH</p>
