<ul> <li>Position Summary: A long term elementary substitute teacher is responsible for fostering a safe, engaging learning environment, developing and implementing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and collaborating with principal, parents and school staff to support student development in core subjects. </li><li>Assignment: August 11 - October 10, 2025 </li><li></li><li>Reports To: Principal </li><li></li><li></li><li>Knowledge, Skills & Implementation </li><li></li><li></li><li>Equipped with academic aptitude, personal integrity and patience </li><li>Display strong organizational skills </li><li>Effective communication with administration, staff, colleagues, students and parents </li><li>Keep accurate records of achievement and attendance </li><li>Serve as a role model for our students and community </li><li>Conducts assigned activities from the administration in conformity with the approved policies of Whitko School Corporation,the Board of Education, and State and Federal Law </li><li>Communicates with principal regarding any questions or concerns regarding students, classroom or policies </li><li>Performs other tasks as assigned by the principal and other administrative staff as designated by the superintendent </li><li></li><li>Instructional Leadership </li><li></li><li></li><li>Create lesson plans that align with grade-level standards and establish a routine </li><li>Monitor student's progress and provide individual support when needed </li><li>Support academic, behavioral, and social growth of students </li><li>Be positive and creative to encourage all students to participate and learn </li><li>Manage classroom with effective leadership and invoke approved disciplinary procedures when necessary </li><li></li><li></li><li></li><li></li><li>Qualifications & Requirements </li><li></li><li></li><li>Bachelor's degree preferred </li><li>Certified Teacher preferred </li><li>Teaching experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Not a benefited position</p>
