<p>Job Title: MEP EstimatorJob Description</p> <p>The MEP Estimator will coordinate the development of Site Services general costs alongside the operations team, Senior Estimating Manager, and preconstruction lead to ensure alignment with contract requirements and trade costs. This role involves training under the Senior Estimating Manager/Estimating Manager for creating conceptual cost estimates and budgets based on limited information, while providing comprehensive written clarifications of costing assumptions. The Estimator will review and comprehend project plans, requirements, and specifications, coach and mentor a team of estimators to develop large, multi-disciplinary estimates, and recommend appropriate contingency and allowance values with each estimating deliverable.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate the development of Site Services general costs with operations team and Senior Estimating Manager. </li><li>Train under Senior Estimating Manager for conceptual cost estimates and budgets. </li><li>Review and understand all project plans, requirements, and specifications. </li><li>Coach and mentor a team of estimators for large, multi-disciplinary estimates. </li><li>Develop and recommend appropriate contingency and allowance values. </li><li>Determine labor and equipment costs. </li><li>Review and understand all bid documents and assess project risks. </li><li>Understand project logistics and schedule for alignment with estimate deliverables. </li><li>Assist operations team in developing bid packages and analyzing subcontract and supplier bids. </li><li>Attend scope review meetings to assist operations and purchasing teams in bid preparation. </li><li>Connect with clients to ensure customer satisfaction. </li><li>Track and report on material and labor prices, including escalation. </li><li>Determine lead times for equipment and materials; communicate with project team for schedule alignment. </li><li>Develop Value Management contributions to reduce price and increase value. </li><li>Collaborate with Owner and design team to reconcile cost estimates. </li><li>Identify escalation factors for specific materials and labor rates. </li><li>Develop sound conceptual pricing assumptions with documentation for estimate basis. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management. </li><li>5+ years of relevant MEP estimating experience. </li><li>Proficiency in estimating software including On-Screen Take-off, Destini, and Site work tools. </li><li>Ability to present estimating deliverables internally and externally. </li><li>Experience in estimating multiple facility types such as residential high-rise, healthcare, interiors, and institutional. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in Project and Construction management. </li><li>Ability to participate in interviews during pursuit phase. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The role requires on-site presence 4-5 days a week and travel approximately 10-15%.
