Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supports the Human Resources team with various Human Resources functions and initiatives </li><li>Handle Human Resources related inquiries. Provide assistance to applicants, employees and retirees as needed. </li><li>Process workflows for new hires and employees, includes status and pay affecting changes. </li><li>Coordinates employee remembrances. </li><li>Recruitment/Onboarding: </li><li>Supports recruitment efforts by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, initiating background checks and tracking progress of candidates. </li><li>Participates in airport promotional events with community partners, high schools, colleges and universities. </li><li>Prepares and reviews pre-hire files for completion and accuracy. Serves as a secondary auditor for new hire file completion. </li><li>Manages candidate travel expenses, reimbursements and new hire relocation tracking. </li><li>Supports Officer recruitment process by extending and tracking test invitations and recruitment communications. </li><li>Responds to and routes HR Careers emails to provide an exceptional candidate experience. </li><li>Coordinates onboarding activities and serves as a support for New Hire Orientation as required. </li><li>General HR Administration: </li><li>Maintains personnel records. </li><li>Handle Human Resources related inquiries. Provide assistance to applicants, employees and retirees as needed. </li><li>Provides creative assistance in creation and revision of training presentation materials and participant guides as needed. </li><li>Coordinates departmental meetings and events. </li><li>Complete verifications of employment and Public Records Requests. </li><li>Schedules, tracks and maintains survey records for Interview Skills Training. </li><li>Receives departmental invoices, reviews for accuracy and submits purchase requisitions for timely payment. </li><li>Receives, sorts and distributes departmental mail. </li><li>Handles sensitive information in a confidential manner. </li><li>Maintains regular and on-time attendance. </li><li>Follows all safety regulations. </li><li>Supports MNAA's commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Human Resources and Personnel: Knowledge of principles and strategies for recruitment, sourcing, selection, training, benefits and compensation, and human </li><li>resources information systems. </li><li>Human Resource Regulations: Knowledge of federal, state, and local human resources regulations such as those stipulated by the EEOC, Department of Labor, and Americans with Disabilities Act. </li><li>Skilled at determining what information is meant to be private or confidential, and maintaining the appropriate level of privacy or confidentiality. </li><li>Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and convincingly, both orally and in writing. </li><li>Ability to use office equipment and personal computer. </li><li>Knowledge of office management systems and procedures. </li><li>Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. </li><li>Ability to compose letters and other forms of correspondence. </li><li>Skill in handling inquires and dealing with problems. </li><li>Skill in working with the public. </li><li>Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills. </li><li>Strong organizational and planning skills. </li><li>Ability to gather and interpret a wide variety of data. </li><li>Skill in formulating ideas and presenting them in an effective manner. </li><li>Ability to use independent judgement and discretion to analyze and resolve problems. </li><li>Ability to maintain accurate records. </li><li>Manages competing demands; exhibits sound and accurate judgment; prioritizes and plans work activities; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; observes safety and security procedures. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. </li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a Secure Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree </li><li>1-2 years of relevant experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>2-4 years of relevant experience </li></ul>
