From strategic marketing and financial management to human resources and operational oversight, you'll have the opportunity to optimize processes and implement game-changing policies.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Position Purpose: Events and trade shows are an important part of StoneX Group Inc.'s overall branding and marketing strategy. Reporting to the Head of Global Events, the Event Planner, Global Events, assumes full ownership of each company-hosted and internal event that they plan, whether they attend or not. While the Event Planner will delegate some of the details to supplier-partners, they also need to ensure that every detail is executed completely, accurately, and on time.</p> <p>Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of assigned company-hosted and internal events, mostly taking place in North & South America (international shows as needed) </li><li>Liaise & coordinate with hotel/venues, DMCs and other supplier-partners, as needed </li><li>Work with internal staff to determine goals and needs for each event they are assigned </li><li>Partner with Event Marketing on promotional and collateral for events, including custom registration sites </li><li>Manage and execute event promotional plans intended to maximize company exposure and produce sales leads </li><li>Manage vendor payments for assigned events </li><li>Review invitations, registration sites, etc. for assigned events </li><li>Assist Global Events Team Members, as needed. </li><li>This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and can be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management deems necessary. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Job Requirements:Minimum</p> <ul> <li>Education & Experience: </li><li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree and /or work experience </li><li>1+ years' experience with event or trade show management, preferred but not required </li><li>Skill Set: </li><li>The ability to manage workloads and prioritize requests to meet deadlines </li><li>Outstanding project management skills </li><li>Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills </li><li>The ability to work independently </li><li>Robust attention to the details </li><li>Technology savvy </li><li>Ability to utilize computer software, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint </li><li>Ability to travel on-site for events, as needed (est. 35%) </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Event experience </li><li>Contract negotiating experience </li><li>Experience with Cvent </li><li>Ability to travel domestically </li><li>Fluent in Spanish </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 8 hrs/day </li><li>The ability to lift up to 30 pounds </li></ul> <p>This onsite role in West Des Moines, IA offers compensation typical for entry-level positions in the region.</p> <p>#LI-AR1</p>
