We have an opportunity for you!</p> <p>Job Summary: The Assembler assembles and tests fire protection valves for the organization.</p> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>The physical environment requires the employee to work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. </li><li>Required to use personal protective equipment while on the job </li></ul> <p>#INDPRI</p> <p>How You Will Help</p> <ul> <li>Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor. </li><li>Analyze work orders, blueprints, shop data, and/or descriptions to determine the materials required to assemble the valves as required </li><li>Responsible for collecting and matching up parts, files, and serial numbers </li><li>Responsible for assembling components within a valve </li><li>Occasionally will test new product parts for the Engineering Department </li><li>Performs various visual inspections </li><li>Responsible for operating machinery and may perform minor repairs as needed </li><li>Rework valves that were denied by pressure testing by Trim Assemblers </li><li>Test and isolate issues with products that were returned to the Product Development Department </li><li>Responsible for making sure the area is clean and safe by maintain and promoting the Company's 5S program </li><li>Perform other duties as directed </li></ul> <p>What You Will Bring</p> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Well-versed in analyzing and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and/or description </li><li>Working knowledge of gauges and valves to assemble and identify improvement possibilities </li><li>Knowledge of hand tools and large-scale machines </li><li>Solid understanding of mathematics and the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry </li><li>Working knowledge of machines and computers </li><li>Knowledge of standard safety practices </li></ul> <p>Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent attention to detail and accuracy </li><li>Outstanding organization and documentation skills </li><li>Prioritize and complete a variety of tasks in a timely manner </li><li>Strong hand and eye coordination in a fast pace environment </li><li>Excellent verbal, written and reading comprehension skills </li><li>Possess a strong commitment to team environment while working well with others </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to be punctual and attend work on a regular and consistent basis </li><li>The person in this position needs to wear appropriate safety clothing and shoes when needed.
