With offices across North America, we combine the personalized service model of a local consultant with the global resources of the world's leading professional services firm, Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC).</p> <p>A day in the life.</p> <p>As the President, National Business Insurance on the National Business Insurance (BI) team, you will oversee all aspects of national client services, including BI Analytics, the National Cyber and Claims Team. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing strategic growth initiatives for MMA's property and casualty business, while also creating programs to optimize revenue from wholesale markets. As the President, National BI, you will collaborate with MMA field leadership to identify emerging market needs and opportunities, transforming innovative ideas into effective product distributions across MMA. You will work closely with industry practice leaders to develop differentiated products and solutions tailored to each industry. Additionally, you will partner with carriers to pinpoint and align key vertical market and product development opportunities, driving our vertical market growth and expansion. Your leadership will be key in driving innovation and ensuring that MMA remains a leader in the industry.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Facilitate collaboration opportunities with the other operating companies, Marsh, Guy Carpenter, Oliver Wyman, and Mercer.</p> </li><li> <p>Foster strong relationships with national carriers and market-facing counterparts including the management of contingent revenue.</p> </li><li> <p>Support field sales, marketing, and claims to facilitate resolution of carrier specific issues affecting our clients</p> </li><li> <p>Negotiate agreements with key carriers and other partners</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in strategy national and regional meetings as the face of the BI National team</p> </li><li> <p>Effectively communicate and work with other national team members in their respective areas of specialty: EH&B, Private Client Services, Retirement & Wealth as well as Marcom.</p> </li><li> <p>Effectively coach and provide feedback to your team</p> </li></ul> <p>Our future colleague.</p> <p>We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>15+ years of business insurance experience, such as working within a broker/agency, ideally in a sales role</p> </li><li> <p>Established command of property/casualty markets and products.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience partnering with insurance carriers</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to interact with senior executives to develop and gain support of a vision as well as experience leading teams</p> </li><li> <p>Verified ability to operate effectively under pressure.</p> </li></ul> <p>These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:</p> <ul> <li>Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future </li></ul> <p>We know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
