Join us, and let's improve lives together.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Underwrites accounts within an assigned underwriting authority level, and services existing bond accounts</p> </li><li> <p>Analyzes financial statements, work in progress reports, and overall credit worthiness</p> </li><li> <p>Mentors and assists with training other bond underwriters on the underwriting process</p> </li><li> <p>Builds and maintains new agency relationships, and monitors and maintains existing relationships</p> </li><li> <p>Educates agents on the bond philosophy and services EMC provides its customers, and markets these services to agents</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains current files and sets up new account files and performs account visits</p> </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or business, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience</p> </li><li> <p>Five years of experience with bond underwriting, or related experience</p> </li><li> <p>Associate in Fidelity and Surely Bonding (AFSB) designation preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Excellent bond underwriting knowledge</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills</p> </li><li> <p>Good keyboarding skills, Internet and computer knowledge</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent human relations skills</p> </li><li> <p>Travel required; a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if traveling</p> </li></ul> <p>The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either the $90,635 - $124,914 range or $99,924 - $137,714 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range.
