Its expanded mission has made it one of the nation's largest HIV/AIDS, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning (LGBTQ+) healthcare organizations. With 22 offices in 12 cities, it serves more than 67,000 individuals in Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia each year through its diverse healthcare and social service delivery system focused around: primary and specialized medical care, retail pharmacy, dental, behavioral health, HIV/STI prevention, advocacy, and community health initiatives.</p> <p>SALARY: $58,700-$73,300</p> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <ul> <li>PTO </li><li>Vision </li><li>Dental </li><li>Health </li><li>401k </li><li>Sick time </li></ul> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Care Right There (CRT) Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive, client-centered mental health treatment to clients who are living with HIV/AIDS. Care Right There is a Ryan White Part A funded mental health treatment program focusing on meeting the needs of clients who have identified mental health needs but are unable to access clinic- or office-based treatment due to symptoms and other psycho-social stressors. The CRT Therapist provides treatment to clients in the home, in the community, and via telehealth in an effort to reduce symptoms and barriers that impact the client's ability to participate in office-based outpatient therapy. The CRT Therapist will complete diagnostic assessment with treatment recommendations and will assist with the client in developing measurable treatment goals. The CRT Therapist will provide outpatient counseling utilizing individual and group modalities. Clients will become more consistent with treatment and therefore achieve viral load suppression. The CRT Therapist will operate in accordance with the established professional standards and guidelines as stated by the Ohio Revised Code and put forth by the Ohio Counselor, Social Work and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. The individual will operate in accordance with the established professional standards and guidelines for the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) or American Counseling Association (ACA) and agrees to adhere to NASW or ACA standards.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to diagnosis and treatment of clients with mental health and substance use concerns; conducting assessments and formulating treatment plans; traveling; driving; utilizing a computer for typing, telehealth, and conducting research; attending meetings; and producing clear, understandable, and timely notes and documentation.</p> <p>MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Provide high-quality outpatient mental health treatment to clients who are living with HIV/AIDS. </li><li>Demonstrate competency in treating clients from marginalized backgrounds, including those who are in the LGBTQ community; Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (BIPOC); and/or living with HIV/AIDS. </li><li>Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals involved in caring for shared clients via Epic, email, phone, or face to face interactions. </li><li>Complete comprehensive, client-focused diagnostic assessments, treatment plans and treatment evaluations. </li><li>Assess appropriate level of care for clients and offer referrals when clinically indicated. </li><li>Determine clients' risk of harm, promptly complete safety plans when clinically indicated, and consult with supervisor when needed. </li><li>Conduct regular follow-up with inactive clients to encourage participation in treatment. </li><li>Provide community-/home-based treatment to clients who are unable to participate in traditional office-based services. </li><li>Assist in development and facilitation of support groups and therapy groups. </li><li>Demonstrate unconditional positive regard and conduct all aspects of job responsibilities with a focus on exceptional customer service. </li><li>Maintain client records as directed by agency policies and procedures. </li><li>Complete identified training to stay informed about current research and psychotherapy interventions. </li><li>Assist with program development and the continued education of staff, students and community on relevant topics. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by supervisor. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/LICENSURE:</p> <ul> <li>Masters degree in social work or counseling </li><li>LSW or LPC licensure (LISW or LPCC preferred) </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Post-Master's experience providing mental health and/or substance use treatment </li><li>Must have knowledge of, sensitivity to, interest in, and competence in cultural differences, HIV/AIDS, minority health, sexual practices; a demonstrated competence in working with Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQ individuals, and people living in poverty </li><li>Strong written and oral communication skills </li><li>Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and other computer applications </li><li>Familiarity with EPIC or other Electronic Health Systems (EHR) preferred </li><li>Reliable transportation, driver's license, and proof of auto insurance </li><li>Knowledge and adherence to professional standards and ethics </li></ul> <p>OTHER INFORMATION:</p> <p>Background and reference checks will be conducted.
