<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Under the general direction of the Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) Section Chief, this position is responsible for leadership of the ESD Operations Monitoring team. The primary duties of this position include mentoring and supporting staff, leading projects, and managing daily operations to ensure the ongoing, successful delivery and security of ESD Operations Monitoring services, including mainframe and data center operations, data center and infrastructure security and access control, wide area network and server infrastructure availability.</p> <p>In addition to supervising personnel and balancing daily workloads, this position provides high-level customer service and consulting support for a broad array of Operations Monitoring and Enterprise IT services supported by the section. This position will also facilitate the research and evaluation of new methods and tools to provide recommendations to meet business needs. The ability to collaborate with and advise technical and non-technical staff, DET management, and agency customers on DET services and how they can address business issues is critical. This position is accountable for the quality of service provided to state agencies and other partners.</p> <p>Hours: This position supervises staff who work non-traditional hours (including nights, weekends, holidays). This position will occasionally be required to work non-traditional hours to meet with and/or support staff who work during non-traditional hours.</p> <p>For more information, please view the complete position description.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Starting hourly rate for this IS Supervisor 2 position will be between $39.04- $60.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This classification is assigned to pay schedule/range 70-02. Current State employees will be compensated in accordance with the current State Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct fingerprinting and background checks on applicants prior to selection. Certain positions within this Department may allow remote/work from home flexibility for a portion of their work schedule, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit. This topic and any remote work flexibility that may be available will be discussed in more detail in the interview process.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified candidates will have experience with all of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Enterprise service delivery and IT infrastructure support within an enterprise, 24x7x365 environment. </li><li>Experience supervising, leading, or managing IT teams or projects, including end-user support, IT service delivery, and technical operations that contribute to organizational IT effectiveness. </li></ul> <p>In addition to the minimum qualifications, well qualified applicants will have experience with one or more of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Monitoring or supporting z/OS mainframe operations. </li><li>Monitoring or supporting network infrastructure. </li><li>Performance metrics. </li><li>Process and procedure management. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply online!
